Oversized Clutch

An essential during the day and in the evening. Little versions are cute to go out but you can only fit your lipstick and your keys; your mobile phone will be more difficult to squeeze in!

I prefer the envelope versions where you can fit everything, even your iPad. They are very practical, plus, they can turn a day look into a night one.

I would wear them every day, they are so comfy. So, if you want to release your shoulder and back from the weight of your packed satchel, try the oversize or envelope clutch.

Moreover they often have a detachable shoulder strap that you can clip it if your hands are full of shopping bags.

I wear the leopard print version of Zara very often, it gives glam and transforms your plainest look into a chic one.

What happened to Georgina Goodman?

Last spring, I discovered a British footwear brand GEORGINA GOODMAN, it was new to me (though she had been designing shoes since 2002) and I immediately fell in love with her designs; eye-popping, original and sky high!

The label's signature is the striped sole. I really liked two styles:

The bubble platform is fun and comfortable and the color astonishing.

I was captivated by the striking raised cuff of the Dara's style, very stylish!

During the summer I read on their website that the company has gone into administration and ever since no news. Don't even know if their shop in London (Old Bond street) is still open...

Do you know what happened to Georgina Goodman?

Sneakers Must Have´s

Featured in every streetstyle photography; sneakers are in every fashionista and celebrity must-have list.
In this post you will find the coolest and craziest sneakers; studs, glitter, satin, suede, python; all materials and colours are allowed plus they are comfortable, warm and perfect for a long day out.
They will give an extra effortless accent to your edgy daytime look.

My favourite brands are Lanvin and Miu Miu, though I have to say the Louboutin are pretty cool!

For daring people; Louboutin’s: spikes, brass and colourful high sneakers

Lanvin's pink satin sneakers, so cute

Classic styles and patterns never die away!

Houndstooth  transcends seasons, this black and white pattern historically associated with menswear, is totally in for women and featured in dresses, skirts and shoes!

I discovered this gorgeous Yves Saint Laurent Tribtoo pumps in one of the YSL shops in New York.

The shoes already speak volumes, pairing them with a simple outfit will work better. There are different ways you can work these pumps, I have worn them with a pencil skirt, black narrow leg pants, silk blouse and they add some 60’s chic to the look I love.

Besides you can wear them to work and in the evening, versatile, very wearable. Though wearing these sky-high 10.5 cm heels (with internal platform) all day might kill your back and feet J

The pumps feature black patent leather patches on the front and the back with brogue detailing.

Girly and tough

The quintessential of this season is the sweater; I went looking for one and found one with a twist; a two-piece garment consisting of a tutu and a cosy and warm stretch layer.

Every girl has a ballerina inside but wants to avoid the princess look, how to pull off the ballerina look and own it?

Add some edge by wearing it with leggings or skinny black jeans tucked into your favourite biker boots.

A leather jacket will complete the biker chic appearance.

And accessorise the look with an oversized watch and edgy jewellery (leather, studded pieces or a skull ring will work) but don't over do it!

Did you know that Versace has created a cruise collection for H&M?

Last year Versace surprised us with a very nice collection that disappear in no time from the shops. The leather dress and jacket were amazing. Now, we have a new opportunity to get an exclusive Versace design from the cruise collection they have created for H&M. The Versace collection will be available on the 19th of January in all countries with online stores.

Note on your calendar: 19th of January

The collection is conceived as a holiday collection with fruit and butterfly-print patterns on dresses, pants, bikinis, accessories and shoes, a summer look that will also wear in the spring.

Love the white skinny pants and ballerinas

The fruit based pattern bikini is really cute.

Check out the butterfly armbands! really nice for the spring/summer.

Biker Boots for every look

The must of this season: BIKER BOOTS. Do you want to toughen up your look? You can wear them with skirts and dresses, they will make the girly looks, more trendy and tougher.

Studs are a plus!
Some of my favorite biker boots of this season:

Ash, available on-line www.ashfootwear.co.uk

Love the trash boots though last year the studs were brighter and they looked better.

HTC from trendy LA, I have only seen them in Antwerpen and on-line in Zalando. They are more difficult to find...

Tony Mora, located in Mallorca and available on-line (www.tonymora.com)

Sendra, Spanish brand; check their online website (sendra.com). Very popular in Spain and the Netherlands

Zara, you can find them in www.zara.com and in all their stores. They are part of the new collection so do not expect to buy them on sales.

Despite being very fashionable, I have not seen many people wearing them in the streets, why? They are comfortable, warm, trendy and nice. Send us a picture wearing biker boots with your style.

High heels , Yes/No? Wanna learn to walk in high heels?

I must admit I love high heels and the higher the better... however not every woman can wear them, I have friends that suffer from incredible back pain every time they wear high heels and others claim they can't walk with them.

But we must admit that they look really nice on, when  you are wearing a dress and they make your legs look longer :-), even the lowest heels can make a difference.

Recently I went hunting for these shoes for a friend and it is not so easy to find stylish, modern and low heeled shoes, most of the shoes you can find are too ¨oldish¨ style....

After visiting many shops, I believe that Mango and Zara offer the best selection in price, style and color and there are options from 5 to 8 cm (not too high) in leather, suede and glitter styles.

Red shoe is from Mango,  the others are Zara's
I also recommend to pass by the shops, I cannot find online all the shoes I saw in the shops.

You may also try shoes with platform (or hidden platform), they look higher but you will feel more comfortable.Try them on.

I have to admit that watching a woman wearing amazing shoes but struggling to walk with them, it is the least glamourous thing.

Did you know that there are courses to learn to walk in high heels?

In Paris the "Talons Academy" and in Belgium "The High Heels Academy" offer courses in which you learn to walk in high heels and increase your confidence, control and grace, advice you on the type of heels to wear and give you tips to avoid back and foot pain.

Sounds like a good plan for a girl´s afternoon out!

Loafers, do you already have yours?

This season loafers are fashionable.  They remind me of the slippers I wear at home and they resemble the loafers the British aristocracy used to wear in their residences.

Already for some time now they have been available to men and this season there are great designs for women too.

These loafers are not just boring, dull shoes, there are versions with glitter, animal print, feathers, spikes, velvet, patent leather... You can wear them with shorts, long and short skirts, you will look absolutely gorgeous and they are incredibly comfortable.

I already have the leopard printed loafers, and the black leather embossed with scaling effects ones... but would not mind having also the ones with spikes.

These are from Essentiel Antwerpen

A Retrospective - Cibeles Madrid Fashion Week - Kina Fernández PV 2012

Last year I had the honour and the pleasure to attended Kina Fernández's Spring-Summer 2012 Fashion Show in Cibeles.

A trip to Leh, a lost city in the Himalaya and the chaotic and yet beautiful Varanasi, a millenary village in India inspired Kina Fernández’s Spring-Summer collection 2012.

The collection is sophisticated, beautifully constructed and of impeccable execution. The silks play a major role in the designs and the bright coloured belts, straps and details provide the exotic finishing.

The pale pink, citric green and the red, ochre and gold colours provide the collection with warmth and light giving a chic and sexy style.

Kina and María are wonderful and their team is very professional and kind; many thanks to Marta (press) and Belén, she is always very helpful whenever I visit their shop in Claudio Coello (Madrid).
